Sometimes it’s hard to find the stories you want to tell.
This two-hour workshop will focus on idea generation. With a discussion and a series of practical exercises writer Laura Horton will take you through her methods for finding inspiration and creativity.
About Laura Horton
Laura is a writer and publicist.
Plays include: Giddy Tuppy, The Space; Bloody Men, Arcola Theatre as part of Miniaturists; A Summer of Birds, Plymouth Fringe; This I Believe, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Exeter Phoenix as part of Astor100. Her play Hidden by Things will be re-staged for a reading as part of Morgan and Abi’s Power Share. Laura ran Write Away, a ten-week course for new playwrights for two years, producing productions of the plays at White Bear and Teahouse Theatre. She has completed Soho Writer’s Lab, London Playwriting Lab and Morley College. Laura is currently running a creative campaign, Theatre Stories, to amplify un-heard voices. She has written journalistically for The Guardian, The i and Huffington Post. As a publicist she has worked for theatres including: National Theatre; Edinburgh Festival; The Yard.
