Ever felt the burning desire to perform at an open mic night? Why not try our five week beginners introduction to stand-up comedy. You’ll be taught the basics by actor, comedian and writer Neal Craig who regularly performs stand-up.
The sessions will explore:
Preparation: For week 1, please think of a short joke/anecdote or brief funny story to share. Please have a pen and notebook to jot down ideas and bring a sense of humour!
About Neal Craig
Neal is an actor, comedian and writer with over 12 years experience in the industry.
He trained at Manchester School of Theatre (MMU) and has since worked for companies including The National Theatre, Bristol Old Vic, Storyhouse Theatre, Derby Theatre and Salisbury Playhouse. He has also appeared in Coronation Street, A Girls Guide To Depravity (HBO), National Geographic’s ‘Raving Arizona’ and Emmerdale, as recurring character ‘PC Terry Warren’.
As a comedian, he performs regularly around the country and came second at The Wanstead Fringe New Comedy Act competition in 2019. As a writer, he currently has two plays in development and he also writes and performs in new online comedy series ‘Fingers For Fish’.
