ACT FOR SCREEN course starts on Saturday 9th January and runs every Saturday for 4 weeks, times 3.00pm-6.00pm at Theatre Delicatessen five minutes walk from Farringdon Tube/Station.

ACT FOR SCREEN is a series of workshops for theatre-based actors who wish to successfully transfer to TV or film. Theatre training, while providing a wonderful foundation in the craft does not always prepare actors for the challenges of a fast-paced film or TV set. The extensive rehearsal periods typically associated with the stage are rare in the world of film and yet, no matter how small the role, you are expected to arrive fully prepared. Based on his experiences in both stage and screen, writer/director Jesse Quinones offers in-depth practical techniques and strategies to ease the transition from one medium to another. To find out more about Jesse please go to his website .
Jesse will be joined by casting director and act up founder Gemma Lloyd. Often times a casting director is the first port of call for an actor. They may not even get the chance to meet the director until well along the process. Gemma will offer her unique perspective as a leading casting director, and will discuss with them some of the dos and donts in an audition process.
Jesse will also have a camera assistant with him throughout the course and it’s a very practical, hands on experience.
The course costs £144 or £108 if you’re a concession. Click HERE to enrol.
